Using the 4506, you can charge virtually every vehicle battery in your garage--from car, truck, and SUV batteries to motorcycle and jet ski batteries. This makes the device extremely versatile for home use. The 4506 offers multiple charge rates and is compatible with conventional lead-acid car batteries, AGM batteries, gel cell batteries, spiral wound batteries, deep cycle batteries, and marine batteries.

Automatic, Multi-State Charging Process

The 4506 uses a proprietary, multi-stage charging algorithm to optimally charge and maintain your vehicle batteries. First the battery is brought automatically to a full charge. Then the charger enters a maintenance mode, keeping the battery in an optimal state until it is needed. Unlike other battery chargers, the 4506 has an override features that enables it to charge batteries that have been deeply drained--for instance, if you left on your car lights. The device is fully automatic--just indicate the battery type and your desired charge rate, and it does the rest.

Monitor the Battery with Ease

LED indicators on top of the 4506 indicate the battery charge level--25 percent, 50 percent, 75 percent, or 100 percent--allowing you to easily track the charging process.

Safety Features to Protect You and Your Battery

The 4506 comes equipped with numerous features to keep you and your battery safe during the charging process. Reverse polarity protection guards against reverse connections, while battery fault protection prevents the device from excessively charging compromised batteries. Smart clamp technology sends power to the output leads only when a proper battery connection has been made. The charger also includes short circuit protection to avoid shorted connections.
